Heya. Here's my Game Chef 2008 submission in its final form. The challenge this year involved choosing one or two picture sets and composing a game inspired by, and illustrated by, those picture sets. The game itself had to be submitted in plaintext "manuscript" form, meaning a .txt file without fancy formatting. I originally chose two sets, and my game ended up more complex and scary than I could handle in the time available -- 10 days, which helpfully included the start of my new job. I gave up at first, but then went and tossed my original concept and just focused on the pictures in Anna Kreider's art set: Women Warriors. And that led to Awesome Women Kicking Ass. Awesome Women Kicking Ass is a story game for 3 or more players, who play awesome women. Who kick ass. By being awesome. With the ass-kicking. That's pretty much it. Oh? Did I mention? They kick ass.
